Cast Your Worries to the wind
by Stephany Spencer-LeBaron

My Uncle Joel LeBaron’s
favorite maxim
“Cast your worries to the wind
Let the rain settle them”

Was keen wisdom

“To yourself be kind”
He’d often remind
“Leave negatives behind
Wind blows them away
During your daily grind
Rain settles all in time

“Dump the big boulder
Don’t let it smolder
Toss over your shoulder
Things you can’t shoulder
Keep lessons learned
The insights earned

 “Evil wants in
Don’t let it win
Don’t bury hurts deep within
Cast them over the cliff
Before they begin

“While tripping sublime
Don’t waste time
On slippery-slope slime
Wasting time’s
A crummy crime
Not worth your dime
Nor mine
Anytime!”  :)~
