Ragged Rug/Rugged Rag
There is a ragged looking rug
On the bug.
Better on him
Than on an old mug.
Old mugs need all
The help they can get.
It’s hard to face old-age without it.
“Ragged-looking lawn,” you say?
“Hey, what’s he got on today?
A toupe`?
How much would you pay
To look that way?”
“I don’t know; couldn’t say.
But I do hope he mows it
Some soon day.”
I like your poetry and your sense of humor

Thanks. I’m a little embarrassed about some of the poems I have posted, but I posted them anyway, for lack of time to go through and edit my boxes and books of poetry to put online.
Furthermore, I have saved some of my best poetry to be published in magazines, anthologies, etc., that will not accept pre-published material. For example, they will not accept it for their publishing if I have already published it on my Website.
